Plan your video before you produce it.  A video can also be shown at tradeshows as an “endless loop” and used in one-on-one meetings.  For international distribution it is less expensive to produce a foreign language version when you use a voice over or off-camera voiceover and text testimonials rather than people who speak directly to the camera.

This video was translated to a number of different languages in the same audio session through proper planning and video production scheduling.

We shot this video production in Saint Louis Missouri.  The total shooting time was for two days at the corporate manufacturing facility in St Louis, north county area.  We really dressed the shoot, putting lipstick on perhaps as some might say.  But with the proper lighting, which we specialize in, can do wonders for a video production shoot.  What a novel idea lighting for video in St Louis.  Lighting makes all the difference in the world, especially on those shots where the large plant with it’s dark voids absorbs the light, practically all of it.

The editor, Dave Topping, was also happy with the better lighting so that we did not have to do much color correcting in video editing and post production.  Dave and I added the magic in post.  We also worked again with Scott Bussen as our voiceover.  We selected the music to be appropriate for a contemporary corporate sound.

What’s unique about our video production team is our expertise behind the camera. Early on, we shot business documentaries, which quickly taught us to be flexible and adaptable—and how to get the best out of any video production situation.

We’re especially proud of our camerawork and lighting. These two critical elements will make your video production look very polished and professional.

You can count on our creative crews to be extremely organized and efficient, helping streamline the entire video production process. We are available to work in our studio—or anywhere you need us.

When shooting on location always bring extra lights.  In our video productions around the city of St Louis, we have always brought with our crew a full compliment of lights.  In most manufacturing plants, at least the older ones, have poor lighting.  The dark areas need more that just reflector fill, they need light!  As a producer, I have seen a great deal of poorly lit video from production houses of all sizes.  A good quality director would never stand for inadequate lighting.  In fact Mike Haller does not, he makes one of the crew, often me go get the extra lamp to make the shot perfectly lit.  To be honest, I am glad he is always so concerned about getting the right shot.  All told it increase our video quality level far above the normal fare in town.

Corporate video production is one of my favorites to create and produce. It’s best that your producer be involved with the script, shoot, paper edit and final cut. Then you have what we call creative continuity.

It’s very important in editing and post production, since your producer has it all in his head.  The production shots, the visual and cognitive meaning of those shots and back to business – your communication goals!

It’s important that those communication and marketing goals were initially setup in the production goals of the shooting team as directed by, of course, your producer.

Maintain your creative continuity with seasoned professional producers in St Louis.

St Louis Video Production will help your communications with your customers.

Video can explain complicated products and services.

Large printed instruction manuals for many are a thing of the past. You may have a service or product that is better than your competitors can offer, but if potential buyers can’t understand it, then you’re in trouble. In a short amount of time, a video can make your product attractive and easily understandable.

Video can personalize your business.

Not every business works face-to-face with clients on a regular basis, yet many potential customers like to know who they are dealing with before they go ahead and pick up the phone. Video on your company’s website is a great way to add a personal touch that allows viewers to truly connect with and feel comfortable contacting you.

We want you to look your very Best!
Makeup
Use makeup sparingly, unless you’re told otherwise by your Director.
If you have a makeup artist on your shoot you will be fine. If not, the director will most likely add some powder to your face to reduce the shine or glare from the lights, when you arrive at the studio or video/film location. Especially on the nose, forehead, and bald spots.

Be sure to use powder that closely matches your color of skin. Be careful with rouge because it will stand out on video or film.
Keep all other make-up simple. Avoid make-up which contains glitter, or is frosted. Your director will advise you as to what looks best.

For men, try to shave as closely as possible before going on camera. If you’re scheduled to appear late in the day, and have a heavy beard, you might consider a shave. High def shows it all!
Do not get a haircut within a week of appearing on camera. Normally keep your hair away from your face and out of your eyes. Be aware that some hairpiece colors may appear different on camera. If you will be wearing one, talk to your director beforehand.

Of course for hand models and close-ups of your hands, get yourself a manicure! Men and Women.
